Orthotics are devices that are used to correct a patient’s arch in their feet. Our feet are the foundation of our skeletal system. If the feet are not set up correctly, then everything above them will be affected in a negative manner such as your knees, hips, low back and neck.

Orthotics can help correct flat feet, high arches, plantar fasciitis, dropped metatarsals and heel spurs.

Orthotics are often covered under extended health care plans. Usually the patient will have to obtain a prescription referral from their family doctor first. Then Dr. Sykes can fit them for the orthotic.
